Painted covers

A booking page for Strategy session: a detail of a painting heads the card, two hands passing a cup with the word Decide on it, beside the month and the day’s times.

A booking page told people who you are and when you’re free, and little about how the meeting would feel. Now an event type can open with a detail of a classical painting and one word on it: two hands passing a cup for a decision, a window’s light for a quiet talk, a still life for something unhurried.

Pick one under Cover when you edit an event type. There are paintings of hands, of light, still lifes and skies, all in the public domain, from The Met and the Cleveland Museum of Art. Or pick Sky by time, and the cover is the sky at the hour of the meeting where your invitee is: dawn for an early call, the moon for a late one. The cover heads the confirmation, the manage page, your link preview and the invitee’s emails too.

  • Each sky says what to do, on what the painting shows, like the hands do: Wake. on the river at dawn, Rise. on a cypress at noon, Rest. on the sea late at night.
