Google Meet links you can count on

Two team event types with Google Meet. The round robin one warns that bookings with Ken Sato get no Meet link. The collective one has no warning, because Maya Chen has Google Calendar.

A booking only gets a Google Meet link when its host’s booking calendar is Google Calendar. If you connected iCloud first, bookings went there and got no link, and on a team you couldn’t tell whose bookings were missing one.

Now Tempi says who. Each event type with Google Meet names the hosts whose bookings get no link, and the team page flags them. A collective meeting is set up by a host who has Google Calendar, so it gets a link when anyone can make one. Fixing your own takes one click.

Improvements

3
  • Connecting a Google calendar you already had again never changes your booking calendar. Only a newly connected one takes over, when you host a Google Meet event type.
  • Use for bookings on the Calendars page is a button now, and a Google calendar that isn’t taking bookings says why you’d switch.
  • When you disconnect your booking calendar, one that works takes over, and Google when you host a Google Meet event type.

Fixes

2
  • A calendar Tempi can’t reach can’t become your booking calendar, and Google Meet warnings tell you to connect Google again instead of saying everything is fine.
  • The team page says “No calendar Tempi can read” when a member’s calendar needs reconnecting, instead of “No calendar connected”.
